Banlist Changes – March 28 (English)

(Haz click aqui si deseas verla en español)

Phantom Gryphon and Mist Valley Falcon to 1.

Two 2000 ATK monsters for the WIND deck, which is currently one of the weakest in the format. We hope this change encourages more play.

Megalosmasher X to 1.

WATER and Dinosaur decks see very little play in this format, so we aim to give them a small boost with Megalosmasher X.

Evilswarm Salamandra to 1.

This Dinosaur monster arrived late to the TCG, so we decided to include it in the format. After all, it’s simply a monster that can slightly boost its ATK, and there are already stronger options available, such as Bazoo the Soul-Eater.

Don’t worry, cards like Giant Rex or Ultimate Conductor Tyranno will never be included.

Dragon’s Vanguard to 1.

A small boost for players who want to run high-Level Dragons… even if it means bricking a bit.

Red-Eyes Wyvern to 2.

No one is currently playing Red-Eyes, so we hope this change encourages more players to pick up the archetype.

E - Emergency Call to 2.

HERO decks are quite weak in this format. With this adjustment, they remain a fun deck, but with a bit more consistency.

Legion the Fiend Jester to 3.

No one is playing Arkana’s Dark Magician build, so we decided to fully unlimit it. Hopefully, more players will start to recognize the potential of this card.

Ancient Lamp to 3.

A very old card that sees virtually no play. We believe it should have been unlimited long ago; perhaps some fun deck will find a way to make use of it.

Black Brachios to 3.

A small boost for Dinosaur decks. Considering that stronger cards like Tsukuyomi are already allowed, we don’t believe including this monster will cause any issues.

Infinite Tyranno to 3.

A card released in 2005 that should be included in GOAT. In practice, it’s just another brick for Dinosaur decks, so we don’t expect anyone to run more than one copy.

Treacherous Trap Hole to 3.

A Trap that is unlikely to be played at 3, but it can be useful in decks that rely mostly on Spells. It is quite situational, so we don’t expect it to see much play.
